Landscape architect Randy Hester, Professor Emeritus at the University of California Berkley, stopped by the Carver Center for Public Radio before his evening lecture titled "(re)Place Ecological Democracy in the Landscape, and Do it Now." He says that the idea of community is a central piece in any ecological democracy.

On this edition of Weekend Ozarks, we get a behind-the-scenes listen to what goes on in the KNWA newsroom, we visit a local sign-making outfit, and we learn about one local city's tree farm.
Despite the ominous titles, Becca Martin Brown still recommends checking out a new Civil War exhibit at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, as well as a metal band performing tonight at Rogue.
Tomorrow night, the band Chasemissy will be on stage at Clapp Auditorium at Mt. Sequoyah as the latest performers in the First Tuesday Music series and Thursday night they’ll be at Gulley Park in Fayetteville. Last week Chase and Missy Gipson came to KUAF to talk to Ozarks at Large’s Kyle Kellams about the upcoming shows. Missy says Clapp Auditorium is a welcome venue for the band.
