The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation recently awarded this rural advocacy organization a $175,000. Rural Community Alliance will use a portion of the funds for a community revitalization project in Southeast Arkansas. The only Arkansas city with a domestic partnership registry just passed a resolution in support of providing access to health insurance for domestic partners of city workers. The problem is the city's health care insurance provider prohibits such benefits. Jacqueline Froelich reports.
