Ahead on this edition of Ozarks at Large, upgrades to a nearly decade-old program are designed to more effectively connect consumers with local farmers. Plus, the deadline to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is on the horizon. We learn about the consequences of failing to enroll in coverage.
The bill would change the amounts awarded to students. The bill's sponsors say the change is necessary to keep the program viable, while opponents say that the plan is shortsighted.

A report released yesterday by Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families shows that Arkansas schools rely heavily on out of school suspensions, with many districts punishing minorities at a higher rate than white students, thus limiting their learning opportunities.
