This weekend the University of Arkansas' Department of mathematical Sciences will spend three hours celebrating puzzles, Martin Gardner and math.
The Springdale Public Library will close much of next week as part of the library's ongoing renovation project. Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel announces the formation of a state task force to end human trafficking in the state. A fourth party gets 2014 ballot access in Arkansas. And the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality releases funds for cutting diesel emissions in the state.

In the span of 35 years, The Austin Lounge Lizards have released 11 albums including one this year. The band has a loyal following around the country, and when they were in Fayetteville recently, they stopped by the Firmin-Garner Performance Studio for a live set on The Pickin' Post. Monday night, three of the first African-American men to play football at the University of Arkansas shared some of their playing-days’ stories at the University of Arkansas Library. Monday afternoon, a few hour before the panel discussion, the three athletes: Brison Manor, Johnnie Meadors and Dennis Winston met with reporters to talk about being recruited in the early 1970s to the University.
