Following yesterday's Energize NWA Summit in Rogers, plans begin for healthy initiatives in northwest Arkansas.
The National Labor Relations Board issues a ruling in Walmart's case against an organization that claims to be struggling to raise awareness about the company's labor practices. A bill that would bar doctors from conducting abortions on women as early as six weeks pregnant passes the state Senate. And rains from earlier this week have raised the water level at Beaver Lake, though the lake is still several feet below normal levels.
Ahead on Ozarks, some dangerous cows and a local dog goes to the Big Apple. The cows are part of a Springdale couple's new board game that they hope will soon be available in stores across the country. The dog is headed to the biggest dog show in the world. We'll meet Spike, an Ozark-born and bred Russell Terrier head to the Westminster show in Manhattan.Arkansas' U.S. Senate delegation is opposed to a proposed federal assault weapons ban while a state Senate bill to allow concealed handguns in churches advances to the state House of Representatives. In non-legislative news, the number of students served by the Ozark Literacy Council substantially increased last year.

This one-day event at St. Paul's Episcopal Church gives local residents the opportunity to learn about a variety of belief systems all in one place.
