A remarkable canyon straddles the border of Arkansas and Missouri, northeast of Berryville. Once settled by scrappy farmers, the springs-drenched Dogwood Canyon has been conserved by a Missouri entrepreneur. Manager, Chad Phillips, says visitors are welcome year round. The president pro-tempore of the Arkansas Senate says he will assume the duties of presiding over the Senate this session in lieu of a Lieutenant Governor. Mark Pryor and supporters of Tom Cotton's run for the seat have both made significant TV advertising buys in the past few days. And one historic building in downtown Rogers will soon be getting a facelift thanks to a grant from Main Street Arkansas.

Los Fotos (Spanish for “The Fotos”) is a photography project launched in 2010 by a Los Angeles photographer to encourage teenage girls to pick up a skill that can help them gain confidence and build self-esteem. The project now has a northwest Arkansas chapter.

It’ll consist of an informal discussion about light pollution and dark sky conservation, and a demonstration on how to participate in the “GLOBE at Night” light pollution awareness campaign.
